DEVELOPMENT HUB FOR GIRLS
Offering talented players within the North East a key stepping stone on the pathway on becoming the Future England Player.
The DHfG will place girls into a comprehensive, appropriate age related phase, technical and tactical training programme linked to the England DNA; whilst also looking to support their holistic development (Psychological and Social).
The sessions will run through term time and will follow a bespoke scheme of work that involves cycles to ensure development. The curriculum has been designed by highly experienced coaches who coach at national level teams and/or within the Regional Talent Club pathway. The sessions will be delivered, in an engaging, challenging and safe environment; where the girls are encouraged to play with freedom and creativity, solving on-going problems and making informed decisions; without the fear of failure.
It is intended to offer an ideal complement to grassroots football for motivated, passionate and determined players looking to develop and improve.
TAKE ON NEW CHALLENGES
All our sessions allow the players to be experimental and try new things, this is also encouraged by all our coaches, and a philosophy we aim to run through all our delivery programmes.
The group sessions allow for new friendships to form as our players come from a range of clubs, as well as promoting inclusivity for all those who take part. As well as this, girls will be able to play with girls of similar ability which will allow them to experience a professional style approach.
PERSONAL TARGET SETTING
As with the 1 to 1 Coaching Sessions, our Development Hub for Girls follows a plan of delivery to ensure specific targets are covered to allow for all players to develop in each element of the game.
Within the sessions, players have the opportunity to set their own goals and targets, meaning they are able to push themselves as much as they feel capable and confident enough too. They will do this by utilising our bespoke Individual Development Plan (IDP) tool, which will be completed at three points throughout the programme. This allows girls to measure their progress against their development goals.
