‘I started 1 to 1 sessions with DHG at the start of June this year, due to lockdown number 1, to ensure maintenance of my fitness and technical aspects of my game.
I would say by doing extra sessions with DHG, has helped improve my all round and football specific fitness, as well as my technical ability, movement and decision making in the final third, which I have been able to apply to match day situations.
By doing sessions with DHG and working on the finer details of my own game, I am hoping to improve and develop my technical and tactical knowledge needed to play at the highest level I can.’

‘With the lockdown I wanted to prepare myself for the inevitable trials which took place in late August over two days at Downhill Football Hub and The Beacon of Light. Contacting Courtney Vacher at Develop Her Game, her response was immediate, and she set about planning a bespoke programme of 1 to 1 tuition from June through to my trials.
The lessons were always very professional and certainly improved me as a player and a person. During this time, I also had lessons with Becca and Lauren as well ,and the standard and commitment of all the coaches was excellent. Areas we covered included fitness, shooting, dribbling skills, awareness on the pitch, and also my mental approach to the game and the trails. I also attended the DHG Advanced Youth Summer Camp over four days which delivered a fantastic programme and all together really prepared me for the trails. I was certainly the fittest I have ever been, and the training helped my approach and confidence to the game.
The trials came and I am so pleased to have been offered and accepted a place at the Foundation of Light Girls Football and Education Academy in their U 16 squad. I am really happy and enjoying the new experience, making new friends, and working hard with my education and football in a high-performance arena, training on a Friday alongside the post 16 scholar girls themselves. Develop Her Game has helped me so much to achieve my short-term ambitions and I can only say a big thank you to the whole team who continue to support me in my football and education journey.’

‘Since starting 1 to 1 Coaching Sessions at Develop Her Game with Lauren, I have progressed loads as a player. I have been having 1 to 2 sessions a week since the summer, and my fitness, confidence and awareness has massively improved. I struggle a lot with cram in my calf’s when playing football, however since doing these sessions, Lauren has taught me a warm up that helps me.
These sessions have led me to success as I have recently accepted a contract for Durham RTC. My improvements in football have been noticed from managers and coaches. I will definitely be continuing my sessions every week, in order for me to keep improving. Thank you to Develop Her Game.'

‘I started one on one sessions with DHG earlier this year while playing grass roots football. I feel the extra training took me to another level and also helped me in the direction I wanted my football to take.
Later in the year, I was invited to trial with Durham RTC and after six weeks I was invited to sign for both the under 15’s and under 16’s teams. I believe DHG helped me improve my all-round game and fitness which helped my success in being selected for Durham RTC.’

I really enjoyed Courtney and Develop Her Game it taught me a lot of tricks and skills
My favourite part was when we practised vollies but the best thing about it is that Lauren and Courtney helped develop me into becoming a better football player.
Lauren and Courtney inspired me to do as well as I can in football and to keep working even if I don't get it right 100% of the time. We don't fail, we just learn and we can learn from our mistakes so I would recommend Develop Her Game to any girl who loves football.
